Where we are in Milan
Our headquarter is in Milan, Italy, at the Saporiti Palace, a beautiful and historical building named by wikipedia as one of the top places in Milan. If you are in the city, feel free to pass by. Even if you don’t want to speak about business, it is worth to visit the building, and the amazing park and castle in front.
The underground station “Palestro” (red line) exit almost in front of our door. Or it is a 15 minutes walk from the Cathedral Duomo.
There is always someone at the office but we work intensively out of the office, in the public institutions or at the client. We strongly suggest to contact us first, to have the person most helpful for your case. At the moment we speak English, French, Spanish, Dutch and Chinese (and Italian of course).
If you contact us in advance, you wil probably meet a professional speaking your language. Said that, feel free to come any moment, even without any appointment. You are always welcome.
Rome
We spent quite some time in Rome, where are based all the Italian Ministries, the Italian Central Bank “Banca Italia” and the largest part of the national Public Authorities. In our line of business, you should keep in touch with bureaucracy and politics, and it is less scary than you read in the news.
We have our (smaller) office in Rome but since 2010 we meet clients only by appointment. In fact, when the senior staff is in Rome, it is probably in a public office or in another event.
London
The first year of the firm we were used to wake up every other day at 3 a.m. in the night to work with our clients from China, India and Asia in general. Then we noticed that the largest part of the Asian and American companies present in Europe setup a office in London first (or in Dublin). Moreover an important number of our clients are based in England, particularly company formation agents, tax lawyers and family offices.
We startup our (small) office in London to meet all these clients on a regular basis. Today, our office in London is also in charge of our publications, conferences, probono activities and websites.
There is always someone at the office, but we strongly suggest to take an appointment.
Our Real Headquarter
We have and should have a strong team of chartered secretaries in Italy. And it is based in Milan. Outside that, the senior staff tend to work where its presence is required. In the internet age, we are a (voluntarily) small firm and our foreign clients don’t want to fly to Italy any time they need our help. Eventually we go to them, or we meet them online. This requirement should be accepted by any new partner that join T&Partners, internally or off the council.
We work with three entities (i) the private practice of our founder, Avv. Stefano Tresca, trading from the beginning as T&Partners; (ii) T&Partners Srl, an Italian company, to manage all the activities non reserved to lawyers; (iii) T&Partners Ltd, a British company, to manage our clients in the UK, the websites and the publications.
With this structure, you will never risk to receive expensive bills marked “by lawyers” when you get the job of an associate or a chartered secretary. Our business model was best explained by The Economist magazine. Quote:
“Some (trend) are here to stay even as the economy recovers. One is clients’ determination to keep their bills down. Feeling that they had overpaid vastly for work of green trainees, they began refusing to have routine work billed to first and second year associates. They see no reason to stand for it again. And alternative fee arrangements continue to grow in importance” (The Economist, May 7th 2011)
The founder Stefano Tresca has been an entrepreneurs and a managers before taking the bar and setting up a law firm. He believe in this system, now popular, since the very beginning in 2005. We believe in this way of working, and the clients seems to like it. We will not change it, unless the clients will find a more innovative way to make things done in a win-win scenario.
